Change in Focus

We ( Martin Lee and Zin Yi) are making some changes to the Good Message Foundation's (GMF) functions. The reasons for these changes are to minimize, as much as possible,  the spiritual teaching by GMF and at the same time place a tighter focus on GMF's tasks that help other people's personal distribution of the Gospel. This tighter focus on personal distribution services will, Lord willing, also help simplify the day to day management of GMF. These changes may give the appearance of deliberate planning and implementation; but we now realize that they have been happening all along, and just recently we have been able to notice the direction and articulate it.

The chief reason for minimizing the spiritual teaching function of GMF is the desire that GMF would continue to serve, minimally affected by both typical and atypical variables in circumstances, as a help in the Gospel distribution efforts of others. For example, presently, if God saw fit to remove both the current officers of GMF from their offices, some other entity, and that most likely secular, would need to make decisions regarding both the secular and the spiritual functions of GMF. By minimizing the spiritual teaching content of GMF now, potential changes to its content, and the likely resulting impact on others is minimized, in the event of a future change in the makeup of GMF.

One of the first steps we have taken in minimizing the spiritual teaching by GMF has been for the officers of GMF to acquire new personal web sites: Zin's site is ZinYi.com and Martin's is ChristianBibleInfo.com. Zin of course has his teachings on DistinctlyandRightly.com, but our desire was to set an example for the benefit of others that applied equally and symmetrically to both of us. These sites are quick to set up and cost less than $10 / month to maintain. Also, the Bible information brochures (tracts) have been removed from GMF and various versions of them can be found on our new sites. Yet another change concerns the Internet Radio. Zin will become the owner of the Internet Radio and be personally responsible for the cost of its operation. Martin, Lord willing, will continue to be personally responsible for the sending of programs and funds to the 3 broadcast stations in the Philippines. GMF will no longer be working with Kwabena Agyei in Ghana setting up tract distribution trips; but will maintain the GoodMessage.Intranets.com site for the public displaying of these distribution efforts. This site already facilitates communication between Kwabena Agyei and Martin as he continues to work with Kwabena Agyei in distributing the gospel to Ghana.

Another step taken in developing GMF's functions in helping the Gospel distribution of others has been the addition of a new site to GMF for the use of accounting, including donations. Zin and Martin are the first Personal Fund Holders (PFH) to use this site. If the Lord allows, in time others may also join us in the Personal Fund Holders list. This site is GMFAccounting.intranets.com . The use of a Personal Fund allows others to fund the activities of a fund holder and have knowledge of the expenses that are reported. Donations to either a PFH or to the GMF General Fund will generate the same receipt for tax purposes.
