What is the Bible?

The Bible is God’s Word. It’s not just an old book – it is alive, powerful, and true.
Through the Bible, God speaks to us.
It helps us understand who God is, what He thinks, what He wants – and how we can know Him.
The Bible has two main parts: the Old Testament, written before the birth of Jesus, and the New Testament, which tells the story of Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection – and how Christians are called to live.
The Bible was written over many centuries by people who experienced God – but it is still inspired by God. That means God spoke through those writers to give us His truth.

Why do we need the Bible?

Because we need truth – direction, hope, and answers.
The Bible shows us:
-
Who we are (people deeply loved by God),
-
Where we come from (created by God),
-
Where we’re going (eternal life with Him),
-
and how to live (in love, faith, and truth).

It helps us get to know God, understand what really matters in life, and face everyday challenges. The Bible isn’t always easy – but it is true. And it’s still changing lives today.
